As someone with Fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis I had to change my lifestyle in 2011 as the "daily grind" became unbearable. Through this I found a way to use a weakness as an advantage: I jumped head on into leatherworking as my sole source of income, and I started teaching classes on how to live with Chronic Pain and Kink. Now, in September of 2015 I'm happy to say that I've found another way to merge the two into a new project that gears my leatherworking towards those I've focused my kink education career towards helping.
Kinkability is a new line of products that I've just recently started that helps put kink gear into the lives of those with physical limitations that would have otherwise prevented their ability to participate in kink.
Currently I have created a flogger set for those with Ectrodactyly that also works for anyone with a lower arm amputation. While some tweaking may need to be done for some cases, I'm thrilled to have the first fully working model completed and can't wait to see how the new owner enjoys their toys. This new flogger setup will work for most impact toys I currently create (all flogger types, dragontails, and dragon-tongues).
I'm incredibly thankful to the person who came forward and presented this interesting "challenge" to me, otherwise this may have never come to fruition.
What's next?In order to keep up with this trend of getting toys out to those in need, I'm looking for more unique situations that people encounter with kink and their physical limitations. If you know of someone that can benefit from a specialized toy, please send them my way!
Here's to making the kink world just a little more accessible, for everyone!
